The All-Star Charity Tennis Event for the Ritz-Carlton

If you want your upcoming March 22 to be extra special, then look no further than the Ritz-Carlton‘s approaching All-Star Charity Tennis Event at the Cliff Drysdale Tennis Center in Key Biscayne! This is an intimate and extraordinary gathering of the world’s greatest tennis players. On March 22, about 33 locals have the chance to test their abilities in a Round Robin qualifications tournament wherein the winners get to face top-seeded players.

Imagine a scenario where you’re faced with the famous serve of Andy Roddick; radar guns are at the ready to see if Roddick will take it easy on you or attack with his world-renowned 155-miles-per-hour bullet serve!

Saying that this is an opportunity of a lifetime is to be quite blasé and understated. ESPN tennis analyst Darren Cahill, Tennis Director Mark Chellas, and Grand Slam legend Cliff Drysdale will lead the proceedings and offer local participants commentary and coaching tips on their game. Meanwhile, the All-Star Charity Tennis Event features the following sports celebrity lineup: eighteen-year-old Ryan Harrison, who is the next great American men’s tennis player; Guillermo Cañas, an ex-professional tennis player from Argentina; Kim Clijsters, the U.S. Open Champion and the third best singles player in the Women’s Tennis Association or WTA; Caroline Wozniacki, the Number 1 singles player in the WTA; and Andy Roddick, the Number 1 singles player in the United States.

It’s an event that offers all the trimmings of a special sporting occasion—hors d’oeuvres, champagne reception, exhibition matches with the aforementioned tennis stars, the professional Round Robin, the “King of the Court” match that pits the amateur Round Robin winners with world-ranked tennis pros, and a lot more. With that said, the general public can view the action by getting a reservation.

Take note that there are only 150 slots on hand for spectators and 33 slots for amateur players. It costs $65 per person to acquire the 150 audience tickets (which includes getting to watch all the action of the Round Robin and exhibition matches with nosh hors d’oeuvres and quaff champagne).

Meanwhile, $250 per person is the price for participants who want to be  part of the Round Robin tournament (which includes the chance of the lifetime to play out a point with three of the biggest stars of the tennis world as well as the opportunity to get tennis tips from Cahill, Chellas, and Drysdale).

Finally, $3,000 will get you a VIP All Access Pass that guarantees you playing time against Clijsters, Wozniaki, and Roddick, a meet-and-greet photo opportunity, a one-player entry in the Round Robin tournament, courtside seating, and champagne reception.
