Atlantis, The Palm welcomes its first guests

Last updated on

Atlantis, The Palm, the flagship of the revolutionary Palm Jumeirah, has recently opened its doors to guests eager to explore the stunning entertainment resort on its own island in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The ocean-themed destination resort includes deluxe rooms with spectacular views, a collection of Michelin starred chefs, luxury boutiques and the largest open-air marine habitat in the world.

Each of the 1,539 guestrooms and suites in the Royal Towers feature private balconies and views over the Arabian Gulf or The Palm Jumeirah. Guests can select from a variety of rooms including the exclusive Lost Chambers Suites, with bedroom and bath views into the breathtaking underwater world of the Ambassador Lagoon and the heart of Atlantis.

If they ever find the need to leave their sumptuous rooms, guests can also discover a myriad of aquatic adventures. The Ambassador Lagoon is an open-air marine habitat and underwater exhibit home to several hundred species of marine life, with a viewing panel looking into the mystical ruins of Atlantis. Aquaventure is a sprawling water park featuring rides with cascades, tidal waves and rapids, a Mesopotamian-styled temple and seven daredevil water slides – two of which catapult riders through shark-infested lagoons. The education and conservation center at Dolphin Bay invites guests to meet and interact with some of the world’s friendliest animals.

Not content as merely a luxury destination resort, Atlantis, The Palm has set new culinary standards for Dubai. The luxury resort features seventeen restaurants, bars and lounges, including four restaurants from four internationally renowned chefs. Master Chef Nobu Matsuhisa partnered with Robert DeNiro to open Nobu; British television personality and two star Michelin Chef Giorgio Locatelli debuts Ronda Locatelli; Parisian sensation and two star Michelin Chef Michel Rostang unveils Brasserie Rostang, and “The Architect of Food,” world-class three star Michelin Chef Santi Santamaria, opens his first venue outside of Europe with Ossiano, a gourmet seafood restaurant. Other dining experiences include Seafire, a New York City steakhouse and Nasimi for a beachside setting.

Atlantis, The Palm also invites guests to indulge in the relaxing spa treatments in the Spa & Fitness Centre and browse the latest fashions on The Avenues promenade.
