Enjoy a Gastronomy Week with Peter Island Resort & Spa
Peter Island Resort & Spa found in the British Virgin Islands invited the Manhattan chef Richard Farnabe for a wonderful gastronomy event that has been scheduled on May 2011. Farnabe is a popular chef with experience at the extravagant restaurants Chef de Cuisine of Mercer Kitchen and Restaurant Daniel and Jean Georges in Manhattan, New York, working with Jean-George Vongerichten and Daniel Boulud, who are both world-renowned chefs. And as of the moment, this reputable cook is working as Tommy Hilfiger’s personal chef but he is still offering meetings with Montrachet and Lotus, which caters for the celebrities.
An epicurean week is listed on May 9 to 15, 2011 at the Peter Island Resort & Spa and Chef Farnabe and the resort’s Executive Chef Sellers will be there to make the event worthwhile. The cocktail party is Parisian-based and it will begin by introducing the two talented cooks to the guests.
In the evening of May 11 (Wednesday), the guests will be having a special dinner at the Tradewinds Restaurant and special foods, cocktails, and wines will be served by the two chefs. The following day will be more exciting with a tour at the Paraquite Bay, which is a farm found near Tortola. This tour is necessary because this is where the ingredients for the lunch tasting will be taken. On that same day, the people will be able to cook with the chefs at Falcon Nest Villa using the previously gathered ingredients together.
The culinary week will be concluded with the extensive five-course meal and wine dinner. Also, the participants will benefit from the French and Caribbean dishes, free wines, and the delicious deserts all throughout the week.
The charge for the guest chef program is about $220 per individual if they are included on the meal plan. On the other hand, it would be about $295 for every person who is not part of the meal plan.
There is an array of rooms to which the guests can choose from and two of which are the Beachfront Junior Suites and the A-frame Oceanfront Suites. Both villas, “Falcons Nest” as well as “Hawks Nest” (or Crows Nest), are available for a group of guests or a family. The rate per night of stay is £230 and there is an additional 18 percent for tax and service charge for the Ocean View Room.
