New luxury resort Capella Telluride opens in Colorado
Just last week, Capella Hotels and Resorts welcomed the first guests into the latest luxury resort in its portfolio, Capella Telluride. At over 9,000 feet above sea level, Telluride towers over the other choices for luxury ski getaways this year. Located in Mountain Village, Capella Telluride is set to become the premier accommodation for incentive trips, corporate meetings, executive retreats, mountain weddings or simply a fantastic ski weekend.
Capella Telluride is a new star on the horizon. As the first location in the United States for Capella Hotel and Resorts, the Telluride luxury hotel promises top-of-the-line amenities in an ultra-luxurious and discreet setting.
The luxury hotel will include 100 ski-in/ski-out guest rooms and sixty fully-owned condominium suites. Owners can choose between one, two, three and four bedroom private residences. Guests and residents alike will enjoy supreme personal service that redefines mountain luxury.
Capella Hotels and Resorts serves today’s discerning travelers and international jetset with unprecedented attention to guest services and amenities. The Capella brand currently includes luxury hotels and resorts in sought-after destinations around the world, including Germany, Riviera Maya, Ireland, Niseko and Cabo San Lucas. This latest property in Colorado offers the first luxury
resort in Telluride with easy access to 92 ski runs and spectacular mountain hiking trails.
Telluride’s off-the-beaten-path locale has preserved the charm and intimacy of a small town in the Old West of the United States. The ski industry captivated the region in the 1970s and Mountain Village was founded at the base of the ski area above Telluride. A gondola service connects the sophisticated ski resort of Mountain Village with the local restaurants and delightful shops in Telluride. In summer, the ski resort town hosts over 30 festivals and cultural fairs, varying from wine tasting to jazz and bluegrass. This winter introduced the Revelation Bowl, an advanced skiers paradise likened to Europe’s famous Alps with runs above tree line and ridgelines for steepers pitches. March is the prime time to visit Telluride’s exciting slopes.
