Cox & Kings 2010 Luxury Safari Brochures

Cox & Kings offers a new 2011 Africa brochure that embraces the customized luxury safari travel demands from their clients.

The world’s longest established travel company, Cox & Kings, has launched its new Africa brochure for 2011, featuring escorted group tours, private journeys and many new suggestions for tailor-made itineraries throughout Africa. From the cosmopolitan, waterfront city of Cape Town and quiet rural villages of Zambia, to the safari plains of the Masai Mara and the mountainous splendour of Ethiopia, the new brochure captures the true spirit of Africa.

2010 has shown a continuation of a distinct longer term trend away from fixed private tour itineraries, towards more flexible tailor-made trips. In the last year alone there has been an increase from 40% to just over 50% of clients booking tailor-made holidays. This has risen from 30% in 2007. Cox & Kings‘ Africa Product Manager, Louise Stanion, explains: “People are feeling more confident about devising their own itineraries in Africa with input from our experts, and tend to have a greater knowledge of the destinations they want to visit. Clients still want our recommendations and value our feedback and input but are increasingly venturing away from the traditional tourist trails to see lesser-known sights and with our flexible and comprehensive tailor-made programme there is very little that travellers cannot do or see.”

The 2011 brochure has extra pages with excursion ideas, which can then be slotted into any tailor-made itinerary, highlighting more unusual activities. In Cape Town, a recommendation is the African Relish cooking school where 2 or more day cooking courses can be arranged. In Knysna and Plettenberg excursions can be arranged to an elephant sanctuary to understand more about their habits and anatomy. Private battlefield tours in KwaZulu-Natal are also suggested with a specialist guide to bring to life South Africa‘s cultural history.
