Condé Nast Travel Guide Award Winners 2010
Condé Nast Johansens, the international luxury travel guide from the most trusted name in travel publishing, Condé Nast Publications Ltd., today announced the winners of the 2010 Awards for Excellence.
The winners are part of a collection of more than 300 gorgeous luxury vacation properties throughout the United States, Mexico, Central and South America, and the Atlantic, Caribbean and Pacific Islands.
Readers of the Guides, hotel guests and the Condé Nast Johansens inspection team all contributed votes for the 2010 awards.
The 2010 Awards for Excellence cover 31 categories, including Most Excellent Resort, Most Excellent Hotel and Most Excellent Romantic Hideaway. In the Caribbean, Turks and Caicos Island Resort Grace Bay Club won Most Excellent Resort, but Jade Mountain Resort, St. Lucia was awarded Most Excellent Romantic Hideaway. For Ecoluxury, Antigua’s Galley Bay Resort and Spa took top honors as the Most Excellent Eco Resort.
Villa Resort Ponta dos Ganchos, Brazil is the most Romantic Hideaway in South America, as the Uruguay luxury hotel L’Auberge won top honors. El Careyes Beach Resort and Grand Velas All Suites & Spa in Mexico were both awarded Most Excellent Resort in Mexico and Central America.
In North America, The Hay-Adams hotel in Washington DC is considered the most Excellent Hotel as the most Excellent Resort was Encantado, an Auberge Resort in New Mexico. Curtain Bluff in Antigua was awarded for truly Excellent Service in the islands category.
