Italy has once again topped the luxury travel market, winning the top place for Condé Nast Traveller Travel Awards’ Favourite Country in the World last month. Just last week, Sunday Times Travel Magazine Travel Awards 2009 has proclaimed Italy as the “Favourite European Country for a Longer Holiday.” Greece and Spain won second and third place, respectively for the top Europe hotspots.
