Last updated on

Italy, surrounded by the sea, offers tons of beautiful, wide beaches. Whether in the north on the Riviera, in the east on the Adriatic, in the south or on the Italian islands.

If you want to spend your vacation on the beach, this is the place for you! The many beautiful beaches offer something for everyone: relaxation, swimming, water sports or parties.

Paradizo will show you the 5 top beaches in Italy so you can enjoy your next holiday even more.

5. La Pelosa Beach, Sardinia

The beach is fantastic with an amazing view of an offshore island with an old Saracen tower. This dream beach on Italy’s beautiful coast has turquoise water and white sand. You could actually think that you are in the Caribbean. Before July and after August, the Caribbean feeling can be lived here the best, in the low season you can easily find a parking space and must not be annoyed when the favorite place for the towel is already occupied.

4. Beach of Tropea, Calabria

Who lies on the beach of Tropea on Italy’s toe in the sun, probably enjoys the most beautiful beach scenery in the country: an offshore peninsula, on which the small church of Santa Maria dell’Isola towers. In clear weather conditions, the view extends even to the volcanic island of Stromboli and the other Lipari islands. Tropea is not only worth a visit because of the beautiful beach, but also because of the well-preserved old town.

3. Baia del Silencio, Liguria

Many say that Baia del Silencio becomes the favorite beach for the rest of life once you get there. The secluded bay is part of the charming fishing village of Sestri Levante in Genoa, Liguria. The sunset is incomparably beautiful, and you should not miss it after a day at the beach. During the main season, the beach is quite crowded, but since there are almost only locals who go swimming here, you experience as a tourist authentic Italian feeling.

2. Cala Rossa, Favignana island, Sicily

In the south of the island of Favignana west of Sicily lies the idyllic bay of Cala Rossa, whose beach is considered one of the most beautiful in Sicily. Cala Rossa is just fantastic! There are no words that could adequately describe this wonderful spectacle of nature. The blue-green waters of the sea are crystal clear. Located in the south of the island of Favignana, the Cala Rossa can be reached by ferry from Sicily. It consists of two small sandy coves, from which you can enjoy a magnificent view.

1. Cala Mariolu, Sardinia

So many people love them and return every year: the island of Sardinia. Italy’s most beautiful beach is also located here: It is the secluded bay of Cala Mariolu nestled in the north of Arbatax, between Cala Biriola and Cala Goloritze, on breathtaking cliffs. The white sand is composed of fine and very soft pebbles of white marble, which makes the bay attractive for divers and snorkelers: Here you can see under water more than in most other bays. The Cala Mariolu is only accessible by boat or on foot.
