Sanctuary Retreats offers special vacation deals for the Galapagos
Specialist luxury travel operator Sanctuary Retreats has some fantastic offers for children and single travellers wishing to visit the Galapagos this year. The luxury travel specialist is offering special prices for travelers aboard the M.V. Eclipse, Sanctuary‘s fine expedition vessel in the Galapagos.
Sanctuary Retreats is introducing a ‘two for the price of one’ for children choosing to holiday with their family on board the M.V. Eclipse in the Galapagos this summer. Passengers traveling without children on any of the family departure dates during the summer will benefit from Galapagos air tickets and the entrance fee to the National Park at no extra cost. The M.V. Eclipse is one of the leading high-end expedition cruises in the Galapagos.
The vessel is elegantly appointed and offers a unique seven-night itinerary around the islands, encompassing all the key highlights and just one landfall in a populated area. With just 26 en-suite cabins in total, including four deluxe and eight superior staterooms, the M.V. Eclipse offers guests an intimate cruising experience with international service standards. With 31 crew and four naturalist guides, there is also a high staff-to-passenger ratio.
Guests can enjoy swimming, snorkeling, whale-watching, kayaking and more to fully explore the wild world of the Galapagos Islands. Sanctuary Retreats‘ special rates are available for all designated summer “family” sailing charters after 13th June 2009 and is open to children aged between 5 and 16 years. New bookings must be made before 30th April 2009.
The Galapagos is a must-see destination for anyone interested in nature and wildlife. This year marks the bicentenary of Darwin’s birth and the 150th anniversary of the publication of The Origin of Species, as well as the 50th anniversary of the founding of both the Galapagos National Park and the Charles Darwin Foundation.
In celebration of these landmark dates, the expedition cruise ship ‘M.V. Eclipse’ is operating the only official fundraising cruise to raise money for the Galapagos Conservation Trust and the Charles Darwin Foundation in 2009. The seven-day cruise will be personally hosted by renowned naturalist and Charles Darwin’s great-great grandson, Randal Keynes, and will set sail on Saturday 24th October 2009.
