Travel guide for the Balearian islands

Last updated on

The Balearian islands Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza are beautiful holiday destinations, especially for the summer when the climate is warm and the islands invite to swim in their blue water sea with white sandy beaches. Each of the islands has its own charm and lifestyle which makes it unique. Paradizo has been providing luxury villas in the Balearian islands for many years and we want to help you to pick the right island depending on your interest and expectations to guarantee that your summer holiday will be an unforgettable experience.

Menorca

If you are looking for a little more peace and want to escape the party tourism, Menorca is the right place for you. The second-largest Balearian island is found to be calm and peaceful, thus provides an ideal contrast program to its famous and more known sister islands Mallorca and Ibiza. Anyone who has been here for a while already values one thing: the beautiful fine beaches of turquoise blue-colored water. Many of them fall flat into the sea and are thus ideal for children. The majority of the coast is undeveloped and doesn’t provide a touristic infrastructure. One of the most popular natural attractions is the recently re-opened Camí de Cavalls, a coastal path which can be obtained on foot, mountain bike or horse. The perfect island for nature lovers and bathing fans, especially ideal for a relaxing summer holiday with the family.

Ibiza

Ibiza, is worldwide known as the Party island among the rich and beautiful, but also the artists and dance lovers. Besides it is famous for being the Hippie island of Europe. Dancing, celebrating, chilling by the sea at daytime and feeling the real life at night. Ibiza is home to gigantic clubs, including the most famous and largest clubs in Europe. Especially in the famous party beach Playa d’en Bossa and the mostly for English people known San Antonio in the west coast. But it doesn’t only offer the perfect party setting for the upper class but also fantastic landscapes and idyllic villages. It has a very developed infrastructure especially for the upscale tourism. Ibiza provides countless luxury villas, cool boutique hotels and designer shops. Moreover, the historical center of Ibiza town is worth a visit. It has the most balanced climate among the five Balearic sisters. Our conclusion is, Ibiza is particularly suitable for upscale party-seekers and techno lovers.

Mallorca

The largest island among the Balearic Islands is also the most famous and the most diverse. She is particularly popular under the German and English middle class for her parties at the famous party mile Ballermann in S’Arenal. However, Mallorca has much more to offer than just drink tourism and clubs. It has beautiful bathing bays with fine sand and crystal clear water. As well as a beautiful capital “Palma de Mallorca” and a charming interior. The island offers a large number of Michelin-starred restaurants and beautiful golf courses, which makes it particularly appealing to gourmets and golfers. And although Mallorca is visited every year by millions of holidaymakers, there are still corners, where mass tourism is little to be felt. Mallorca also has many romantic villages, ancient churches and monasteries. It’s the perfect islands for the ones that seek a party holiday like in Ibiza but also look for some piece and calmness like in Menorca.
