Gran Canaria is the holiday island par excellence with its 350 sunny days a year making it a paradise for sun worshipers. If you love shopping, Las Palmas, the largest city of the Canaries with a beautiful oldtown in the northeast of the island is the right place for you. Here party starts on the beach and ends at sunrise in one of the countless bars in the Triana district. In the village of San Bartolomé de Tirajana a small market takes place on the weekends.
