Land, Sea & Snow… take-off from all three with the latest luxury aircraft from LISA Airplanes, as reported by ProAir Aviation. The new light sport aircraft can now offer the aviation equivalent of the Swiss Army knife in terms of its versatility.
Able to alight on water, unpaved runways or even snow (with retractable skis), the Akoya Aircraft is expected to carry its first passengers by the end of the year. Priced under half a million dollars, including pilot training and three years of maintenance, the single-engine, piston-powered aircraft has a range of more than 800 nautical miles and is being touted by its manufacturer as the perfect mega-yacht accessory.
The aircraft also has folding wings to ease transport and only requires an FAA Sport Pilot license, which restricts flights to daytime, good weather and uncongested airspace. One Yachting manufacturer is selling every newly built yacht with a free aircraft, allowing you to fly literally to the doorstep of your boat.
