Experience the Borneo Climb with Abercrombie & Kent

Tourists are bound to have an unforgettable experience if they were to consider visiting the pure land of Borneo and do a hiking on its 13,440-feet Mount Kinabalu. There is no doubt that a one-of-a-kind adventure is guaranteed by choosing Abercrombie & Kent in this journey.

This 7-day luxury tour will be fun-filled from the beginning until the end of the voyage. The first day consists of arrival at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and guests will be brought by tour experts to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. This luxury hotel is actually close to the tallest twin towers in the whole world, Petronas Twin Towers. Aside from having a view of the 88-floor building, the tourists will definitely love seeing the picture of the 50-acre KLCC Park from the hotel.

On the second and the third day, the tourists will be taken to Kota Kinabalu, which is where the hike towards the peak of Mount Kinabalu will begin. During the trek, the guests will get a chance to drop by the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kinabalu National Park. In this spot, people will get to see the extraordinary natural habitats that serve as home for the many species that are originally from all four types of climate zones. Furthermore, part of this trip is a quick stop at Rasa Ria Resort of Shangri-La on the third day.

The fourth day consists of a 4,608-feet trip from the Timpohon Gate, which is at about the height of 6,122 feet, to the Mount Hut, Laban Rata that is located at a height of 10,730 feet. There will come a time when tourists will get tired of the hike but they will surely be able to rest once they reach the resting point that is composed of 6 lodgings.

Day five will be the departure from Mount Hut and a continuation of the expedition towards the peak of Mount Kinabalu. The climb will take approximately 3 hours starting from 3 o’clock in the morning. It is expected that the guests will reach the peak at 6 a.m. and so they will be able to have a view of the breathtaking sunrise.

Plus, they will be able to see the South China Sea as well as Kota Kinabalu from this height. And, by the end of the day, these individuals will be going down back to Timpohon Gate and return to Kota Kinabalu. The sixth day will be dedicated to a flight back to Kuala Lumpur and the tour ends on the seventh day.
